This paid internship is geared towards college students or recent graduates of local universities that are seeking a career in natural resource management or the environmental sciences. Interns work between 1-3 days a week to restore and enhance stream side (riparian) habitat in the Livermore-Amador valley watershed. We work primarily outside doing field work to monitor and maintain ongoing project sites. Field work includes: hand weeding, mowing, watering, mulching, soil bio engineering and bio monitoring. During the rainy season (October-April), we host volunteer events where we pick up trash from local streams, plant native vegetation, and remove invasive weeds.
