Please join me in welcoming our new interns! Leonard Druker, Sierra Mathias and Tim Galanis are thrilled to be a part of this great program and are looking forward to improving the conditions of our local urban creeks.
Leonard Druker joined LARPD during the month of October 2016 for the position of Park Enhancement Aide. He studied Environmental Studies while focusing on energy from San Jose State in December 2015. Since then, he has been gathering experience and working at a few companies. His long term goal is to hold a position related to energy development and research and reducing GHGs. Leonard loves to be outdoors, cooking, trying different foods, and traveling.
Sierra Mathias recently joined the LARPD as a Park Enhancement Aid in the Living Arroyos program. She graduated from UC Irvine in June 2016, with a double major in Urban Studies and Social Ecology. Someday she hopes to pursue a professional career in the field of land and wildlife conservation, connecting people to nature and preserving our natural resources for generations to come. In her free time, Sierra enjoys riding horses, hiking, cooking, and playing with her Corgi, named Guinness.
Tim Galanis is a Park Enhancement Aid and is a new addition to the Living Arroyos team. He earned his AA degree at Las Positas College and then graduated from CSU Eastbay in 2014 with a BA in Environmental Studies under the Physical Environment option. He wants to find a career that will allow him to work out in nature, help the environment, and utilize his education. When Tim isn’t working with the LARPD he works at his other job as a contractor collecting water samples for the USGS and likes to hiking, spending time doing various things outdoors, and spending time with his girlfriend.
Please give our interns a warm welcome to the Living Arroyos Program!
