Living Arroyos

Promising start to the rainy season

The two most recent storms brought nearly an inch of rain to the Livermore-Amador Valley!  Rains since the beginning of November have totaled 2.33 inches, compared to 1.19 inches last November.  While this isn’t enough to break the drought, these early rains give us hope for a much-needed wet winter.

After the recent rains, Arroyo Mocho flowed top to bottom for the first time in nearly a year!
The sediment basin at the downstream end of the site was nice and full and even had a few ducks paddling around.
